Keogh Family History
Kehoe/Keogh is one of several versions of the Irish name "Mac Eochaidh" which translates as ?son of Eochaidh?, a personal name based on each ?horse?. In Ireland the Kehoe version is used most often in and around County Wexford while Keogh is more common throughout the rest of the country. There is also a similar Danish surname, Ke?gh.Select Audience

mI dont think John Keogh born 1880s, married and had son 1894 is correct. Makes him 14 when son born and Im pretty sure marriages were illegal at 14.

Nadine Keogh USA here.
I don't feel I know much about my Irish ancestors other than Patrick likely came to America during the potato famine. There is some information indicating he was a stowaway and came up the Mississippi River bypassing Ellis Island. He married an Irish lass and settled in North Dakota and raised a family.??
My dream is to visit Ireland, hopefully this year.?
